Event Schedule:
4:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Tequila Tasting & Tex Mex Delights

Tequila, like Champagne to France, holds a special place in Mexico's heart? To earn the name, it must be crafted in one of five states: Guanajuato, Jalisco, Michoacan, Nayarit, or Tamaulipas. Anything else might be delicious, but it's not quite Tequila.
Speaking of Craft
Tequila starts with the resilient Blue Weber Agave – not a cactus, but a member of the lily family. From there, it’s a journey overseen by the Tequila Regulatory Council (CRT), ensuring every sip meets their exacting standards.
Artisanal Tequila
Is what will be showcased at the TexMEX tequila festival. We are choosing to bring to the spotlight the brands that honor tradition and who respect the culture. We are proud to partner with brands that make an honest product!
It is also important to note there are two classifications of tequila.
FIRST:
100% de agave tequila, meaning all of its sugars must come from 100% of the Blue Weber agave. These tequilas are more common for sipping.
SECOND:
Mixto; this is a blend of 51% Blue Weber agave sugar content and allows for 49% of other sugars. Mixtos are common for use in cocktails.
